<description>A couple of weeks ago I was doing some research on ordination. One document talked about how the laying on of hands that we do at ordination connects back to the practice of sacrifice. Before a lamb was offered in sacrifice they laid their hands on it and prayed. I am a little horrified and a little delighted by this new understanding of part of the ordination service.
